Overview
The Operations Division shares responsibility with the Parks Division for mowing public property and public right-of-ways during the growing season.
- The Operations Division focuses on mowing 10 acres that require "rough" mowing, or weed cutting, three times per season.
- The Parks Division "finish" mows approximately 700 acres of medians, landscaped right-of-ways, and City-owned property at a rate of once every 7 to 11 working days.
For all private properties, it is the responsibility of the property owner to mow and maintain vegetation on that property, including within the right-of-way.
- Please visit Tall Weeds & Grasses for more information regarding private property mowing requirements.
