Each year, the City of Janesville publishes a Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR), a user-friendly annual companion to the Financial Audit. The PAFR summarizes financial information from the Financial Audit and presents it in a format specifically designed to be accessible and understandable to residents, businesses, community groups, and other interested parties without a background in public finance.

The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) awarded the City the PAFR Award for its 2022 PAFR. The announcement of this honor marks the fifth straight year the City has been recognized with this award by GFOA.
