2024 Trash & Recycling Collection Schedule
Trash and recycling collection services are provided for all City of Janesville residential properties with four or fewer units. Participating businesses that require disposal of no more than 96 gallons of trash and 192 gallons of recyclable materials are also eligible for collection services.
Automated Collection
Trash and recycling collection is fully automated with one person, side-loading vehicles. Operators manipulate a mechanical arm that dumps the trash or recyclables into the collection vehicle by lifting a City-issued cart.
For questions and information regarding City-issued trash and recycling carts, please visit the Cart Information webpage.
