Board, Commission or Committee
Serving on a City of Janesville commission, board, or committee is one of the most effective ways for citizens to influence City policies and activities. Volunteering provides an opportunity for citizen participation in the process of government.

Clerk-Treasurer's Office
Volunteer as an Election Day pollworker.
Hedberg Public Library
Assist with shelf reading, materials delivery, data entry, mailings, bilingual event program volunteering, and working at the Library coffee shop, "The Ground Floor."

Parks Division
Volunteer to assist the Parks Division with maintaining the City's parks or join one of the Friends groups that assist the Parks Division.

Recreation Division
Volunteer at year-round special events and programs that serve youth, teens, adults and seniors. Assist with clean-up efforts at our indoor Recreation facilities and outdoors. Offer to teach a class for the Recreation Division based on your interests and skills. The Recreation Division can accommodate volunteer requests from individuals or groups.
