Tires may not be disposed of with waste at the sanitary landfill.  There is a special drop-off area for tires at the landfill.

Please check in at the landfill office, where you will be directed to the correct drop-off area. 

Tire Disposal Fees

A maximum of 20 tires per day applies.

The City contracts to have tires brought in to the sanitary landfill shredded and then marketed for use as a fuel supplement to coal.  Fees charged cover the cost of processing.
