Benefits of Recycling Electronics?
Electronic waste or "e-waste" is a loose term for describing obsolete, broken, or discarded electrical or electronic devices. These devices contain valuable components that can and should be recycled, all of which require considerable energy to process and manufacture. Recycling electronics recovers valuable materials, conserves virgin resources, and results in lower environmental emissions (including greenhouse gases) than making products from original materials. They may also contain hazardous or toxic materials such as heavy metals which can damage the environment when landfilled or incinerated.
