Fisher Creek Trail Phase 2, from Rockport Road to W. Court Street (segment in blue)
Project Description
The City of Janesville and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources propose constructing a 10-foot-wide paved off-road trail with an approximate project length of 0.62 miles. The alignment will start at Rockport Road and travel north to W. Court Street. The trail will be located within the City’s right-of-way and a bike trail easement along Fisher Creek.
The City was successful in obtaining WDNR Knowles-Nelson Stewardship funding.
- Safety improvements will be made at the W. Court Street trail crossing.
- Add rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFB)
- Provide a streetlight near the crossing
- Install fluorescent bike/pedestrian signs
- Add pavement markings
