Summary of Services

The Janesville Ice Arena provides opportunities for indoor ice skating year-round. For those skaters looking for more than a recreational skate, the arena has that too! Throughout the year, the facility offers open hockey practice and league play for adults, figure skating, youth hockey practice, special skating events, and seasonal celebrations. The Janesville Ice Arena is home to the Janesville Jets of the North American Hockey League.

How do I sign my child up for skating lessons?

 

Host your birthday party during one of our Public Skating Sessions     

Pricing -               
Birthday Package Cost = $140       
Over 50 Skate Rentals/Admissions = $50 fee
Full payment must be made within a week of booking to confirm your birthday party time.

STEM Field Trip Program

*NEW* 2023-24 School Year 

Available to Schools, Daycares, and Homeschool Groups during select weekdays

Includes an engaging STEM activity, a once-in-a-lifetime Zamboni demonstration, and exercise during free skating time.

Sample Field Trip Itinerary (May vary due to ice/staff availability)

8:45 a.m. Students Arrive

9:00 a.m. Students Put on Rental Skates

9:15 a.m. On-Ice Age-Appropriate STEM Activity Begins

Example of STEM Activity (younger age activity): Friction Pucks – Facility Staff separates class into groups. Each group has a set of 5 different hockey pucks with different materials adhered to the bottom of the pucks. Each group is able to experiment with the 5 different pucks to see which puck slides the farthest. Facility staff recaps and talks about friction on how different surfaces have different amounts of friction on the ice.

9:45 a.m. Activity concludes (15 minute snack break in the warming room for students provided by students or staff – concession stand will not be open)

10:00 a.m. Class Skates on the Ice for free time

10:45 a.m. Class returns skates and departs the facility
