These classes have been CANCELLED - Learn the art of stained glass this summer with instructor Richard Snyder! In both Beginning Stained Glass and Parent/Child Beginning Stained Glass, participants will create a sun catcher or window using their own design or a provided design. The class will provide step-by-step instruction on designing the piece, preparing the pattern, selecting color, cutting the glass, the copper foil technique, soldering seams together, and finishing the project. The class fee includes use of special tools with instruction and demonstration, all materials and the finished project to be taken home. Students will be using a very hot soldering iron under direction and supervision of the instructor. The two stained glass classes offered are as follows:
Beginning Stained Glass is offered in two sessions at the Traxler Park Warming House, June 19 – 23, from 12:15 – 2:15 p.m. and August 7 – 11, from 9 – 11 a.m. The class is open to ages 11 – 17 and costs $85/participant.
Parent/Child Beginning Stained Glass is offered in two sessions at the Traxler Park Warming House, June 19 – 23, from 9 - 11 a.m. and August 7 – 11, from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. Children must be ages 9 – 17 and adults must be 18+. The cost for each pair is $145.
