Most City facilities will be closed on Monday, September 4 for Memorial Day, including:
- City Hall
- Oak Hill Cemetery Office
- City Services Center
- Police Administration
- Fire Administration
- Sanitary & Demolition Landfills
- JTS Administration
- Water & Wastewater Utility Offices
- Senior Center
- Hedberg Public Library will be closed Sunday, September 3 and Monday, September 4.
- The Janesville Ice Arena will be closed Saturday, September 2 – Monday, September 4.
Other City activities affected:
Trash & Recycling Collection – No collection will take place on Monday, Sept. 4. Collection regularly scheduled for Monday will be collected on Tuesday, Sept. 5. All remaining trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day during this week only, with Friday collection completed on Saturday. The regular collection schedule will resume Monday, September 11.
Janesville Transit System – will operate its normal service schedule from 8:45 a.m. – 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, September 2. No JTS services will operate on Labor Day, Monday, September 4. All JTS services resume on Tuesday, September 5. Please contact JTS with questions at (608) 755-3150.
