WHAT: The Diversity Action Team of Rock County (DAT) is hosting a family-friendly Community Picnic to celebrate our unique and diverse community! Diversity Action Team of Rock County Fund is a Component of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin.

WHERE & WHEN: Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 1:00 – 4:00pm at the south pavilion of Riverside Park in Janesville, WI.

ACTIVITIES:  The City of Janesville, DAT, and the School District of Janesville will honor the 3 top winners of the City of Janesville’s Billboard Contest: One Janesville! The festivities include family-friendly games, dancing by the Even Start Dancers, and a storytelling program: In the Beginning, When the World Was New, stories from around the world by local storyteller, Edie Baran.

This event is free and open to everyone in the community.

DAT will provide some refreshments, including hot dogs donated and served by Steve’s Deli Dog House. Steve’s Deli Dog House will also have other food for sale. Attendees are welcome to bring their own picnic food for their families.
