The City of Janesville will be celebrating National Volunteer Appreciation Week with a Volunteer Appreciation Event on April 14 from 4 – 5 p.m. at City Hall, Council Chambers (Fourth Floor, 18 N. Jackson St., Janesville, WI 53547-5005).

The City will recognize the more than 600 volunteers who help the City function every day. City of Janesville volunteers serve in many important roles including committee members; “Friends” groups; poll workers; library volunteers; Senior Center and recreation program volunteers; police and fire department volunteers; neighborhood group members; and many more!

All members of the Janesville community are invited to attend this event. A brief program will begin at 4:15 p.m. where volunteers will be invited to share memories of volunteering with the City of Janesville. Light refreshments will be served.
