The City of Janesville compost and demolition site will officially open for the year on Monday, March 14. The site will be open from 8a.m. until 7p.m. Monday through Friday. On Saturday, the site will be open from 8a.m. until 5p.m. The compost and demolition site is located off Black Bridge Road just east of Highway 51. All vehicles must check with the attendant before using the demolition landfill or compost site.   

Grass, leaves, and garden debris may be deposited into the compost site at no charge to City of Janesville residents (please remember to bring an ID for verification). A nominal fee applies to items that must be deposited into the demolition site, including brush, branches, shrubs, trees, stumps, and approved construction debris.
