City Clerk-Treasurer’s Office Extended Hours

  • Date: 02/16/2016 7:30 am - 7:30 pm
  • Location: Lobby floor of City Hall
    18 N. Jackson Street

From January 5 – February 23, 2016, the City of Janesville Clerk-Treasurer’s Office will remain open until 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. The extended hours one day per week will occur on a trial basis to allow staff to measure the value of evening hours to Janesville citizens and potentially extend the hours permanently.

By visiting the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office on the lobby floor of City Hall (18 N. Jackson Street), individuals will be able to conduct normal Clerk-Treasurer’s Office activities until 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays in January and February such as: paying water bills, applying for all types of business and pet licenses, registering to vote and applying for absentee ballots. Normal business hours of 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. will remain in effect on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Please note that only Clerk-Treasurer’s Office activities will be conducted until 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. Individuals wishing to conduct business with other City divisions, including: applying for building permits, registering for recreation programs, discussing property assessments with Assessor’s Office staff and more will still need to do so between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The City of Janesville is committed to being accessible to the community, and is testing these extended hours in an attempt to provide additional convenience to citizens. Please contact the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office at (608) 755-3070 with any questions.
