The City of Janesville will hold a workshop on Thursday, October 8 from 6 – 8pm in Room 416 of City Hall (18 N. Jackson Street) to gain feedback from the public on the City’s efforts at informing and engaging citizens. The purpose of the workshop is to gain insight into how the City can more effectively inform and engage the public, as well as to build and strengthen relationships with citizens by working together to identify and improve upon issues related to information and engagement efforts. Topics that will be of focus during the workshop include:
- Identifying barriers to more informed and engaged citizens;
- Discussing how the City allocates resources to advertise and inform the public; and
- Examining how citizens wish to be involved in decision-making processes such as budgeting, strategic planning and major projects.
This is a public workshop and all citizens of the community are welcome to attend. Interested individuals are encouraged to contact Management Information Specialist Maggie Hrdlicka at (608) 755-3103 or hrdlickam@ci.janesville.wi.us to confirm their attendance for meeting planning purposes.
