Join the Janesville Recreation Division and Clean Sweep Farm indoors for horseback riding lessons. Learn basic riding skills from a professional trainer. Skills include: Grooming the horse, tacking the horse, starting, stopping, walking, trotting, posting, proper reining, basic riding terms, as well as mounting and dismounting.  

Proper footwear (shoes or boots with no tread and a small heel) and helmets are required to ride. Helmets are available at the farm. Ribbons are awarded at the completion of each session. Classes are held at Clean Sweep Farm (8538 N. Serns Road, Milton).  

The class costs $192/session and will run on Tuesday nights from 6 - 6:45pm. Ages 5 and up are invited to participate. Sessions will run from:

• September 15 - October 6
• October 13 - November 3
• November 10 - December 1
• December 8 - December 29
