This event is an opportunity for the general public to interact with local astronomy enthusiasts. The Spring Stargazing Spectacular will take place from 8 – 9:30 p.m. on June 24 at Optimist Park and is free to all and open to all ages. Look through various telescopes to see the moon and two of the brightest planets in our sky, Venus and Jupiter! You may even see four of Jupiter’s moons. Bring your telescopes and binoculars if you have them. Individuals with telescopes and expertise are encouraged to contact the Recreation Division to volunteer their time. Please contact the Recreation Division for more information at 755-3030.
