So you know HOW to play piano but it seems very overwhelming to learn new music. Well then this is the class for you! This simple “hands on” workshop of learning to play piano using chords will take the complexity out of music and you will be playing your favorite tunes immediately. After learning a few chord patterns and tricks you can begin expanding on all your melodies at your own pace and once again want to sit down and really enjoy the piano. Piano by Chords “Intermediate” class is designed for the person that is acquainted with reading sheet music and simple music theory. In this series we will cover expanding your basic chord knowledge and put to work the basic concepts you have already learned with fun new chord patterns. If you have a portable keyboard you prefer, please bring it. Keyboards will be provided for those who do not have their own. Receive a workshop book and DVD ($30 value) to keep. A minimum of four students is required for this course. Please pre-register by May 14. The course will be held on Tuesday, May 19 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Senior Activity Center Conference room.
