Start Smart program is a national program offered through the National Alliance on Youth Sports. It is an instructional program that prepares youth ages 3 – 5 for organized sports without the fear of competition. Parents work with their child, the instructor, and other kids in a social setting to learn the basic skills of throwing, catching, kicking and batting. Program goals are to increase individual skill development and assist parent in understanding their child’s interests. Both parents and children should dress in active clothes, ready to play!
The cost of the program is $37. This program will take place Wednesdays, May 20 - June 24 at Riverside Park from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Meet at the North Pavilion before class starts. Pre-registration is required by Friday, May 15. For more information, please call the Recreation Division at 755-3030.
