The City of Janesville has scheduled a community engagement forum to present information and gather public comments for the reconstruction of Austin Road from West Court Street to Mineral Point Avenue. The meeting is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Parker High School in the Large Auditorium, located at 3125 Mineral Point Avenue, Janesville, WI 53548. The meeting will be an open house format with a brief presentation at 5:15 p.m. Please park in the west parking lot and enter through door 26. The large auditorium is straight ahead and on the left once inside the building.
The City of Janesville, with help from contracted consulting engineering firm R.H. Batterman and Co., is in the process of developing plans for the reconstruction of Austin Road from Court Street to Mineral Point Avenue. The meeting will present preliminary design information and concepts, as well as a proposed schedule for the planned improvements along Austin Road.
Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input, and ask questions regarding this project. Maps showing the proposed improvement alternatives will be on display. City of Janesville representatives and designers from Batterman will be available to answer questions and to discuss the project on an individual basis. All community members are welcome and are encouraged to attend and provide feedback.
