The City of Janesville and the School District of Janesville have partnered to develop and adopt an official city flag for Janesville! The School District will hold a design contest for students of all Janesville schools and employees of the district through Tuesday, March 3. A panel of representatives from Janesville schools and the City of Janesville will narrow the entries down to finalists. On March 9, 2015 at 5:00 p.m., the City of Janesville Common Council and the School District of Janesville Board of Education will vote on the winning design. The contest winner and finalists will be recognized when the flag is formally adopted at the March 23, 2015 City Council meeting.
City of Janesville staff is proud to continue its collaborative relationship with the School District of Janesville and looks forward to the creative and symbolic design entries submitted by District students and staff.
