The Senior Center will host a “Helen Keller” program on March 11 in the Riverview Room at 12:00 p.m. Helen Keller, the first deaf-blind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree, was also a world-famous speaker and author who met every U.S. President from Grover Cleveland to Lyndon Johnson. Helen Keller will be portrayed by Jessica Michna, who is known for her memorable portrayals of other famous ladies. She has appeared before historical societies, schools, libraries, and living history museums.
The program includes a lunch of Irish stew, rolls, cran-broccoli salad, and “green mint sundaes” served at 12:00 p.m. The program will begin at 12:45 p.m. and is $10/member and $12/non-member. Please make reservations for this event before Friday, March 6 by calling the Senior Center at 755-3040.
