The Friends of Oak Hill Chapel are planning a Christmas Open House on Dec. 6th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Refreshments will be served. Fund Drive for donations from groups or families to sponsor a stained glass window or windows in doing so we will have a brass plate made with the family/group name engraved below the window.
Videos will be playing on all the many updates the chapel has gone through within the past year. Cheryl Licary of Beloit will be playing the organ at the chapel from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.
All the exterior stone work of the chapel has been totally tuckpointed by Lon Coplien and others in the Friends group. A new roof by S & S Enterprises completed the steel front doors of the chapel. The work was done by Kirk Knutson, Bob Knutson and Brian King of Superior Metal Fab, LLC. Come and view a complete set of double hung windows in stained glass totally restored by Richard Snyder of 1Glass Impressions.
JATV will be airing "Restoration of the Stained Glass: A look at the process of restoring windows at Janesville's Oak Hill Chapel" on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM. Episodes 1 - 3 will air from Nov & Dec 2013.
