The award winning Enchanted Forest will take place at Palmer Park on Wednesday, October 22 & Thursday, October 23 from 5:30-8:00 p.m. and Friday, October 24 & Saturday, October 25 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. This event is co-sponsored by the Thursday Noon Optimist Club, Johnson Tractor and Old Fashion Bakery. It is designed to be non-scary and fun for all children. The Forest was an award winner at the 2003 Wisconsin Parks and Recreation Conference for excellence in recreation programming. The event has evolved over the years to a spectacle like no other in the surrounding area, and is a must-see for families! The Enchanted Forest features a candlelit walk depicting scenes from famous fairytales, including scenes from the Three Little Pigs, Goldilocks & the Three Bears, Cinderella and many more. Cinderella will even make a grand appearance on a horse-drawn carriage!
The Hollywood Hayride features a ride through the park stopping at scenes from favorite television shows and movies, including scenes from Toy Story, Shrek, 101 Dalmatians and Frozen! Characters will hand out small trinkets at each scene. Also featured at this event will be “Goblin Games”, Optimist Club barrel rides, concessions and glow necklace & t-shirt sales.
The cost for the Forest is $2.50 for youth and $1.50 for adults. The Hollywood Hayride is $3 per person. For questions about this event, please call the Recreation Division at 755-3030.
