Upcoming Street Resurfacing Work

Street resurfacing activities are expected to take place on the following streets between approximately September 8, 2014 and September 26, 2014.  The street will be open to through traffic while the work occurs.

• S. Garfield Ave.; Termini one block south of Tyler to Wheeler St.
• Highland Ave.; N. Grant Ave. to N. Oakhill Ave.*
• N. High St.; W. Milwaukee St. to Centerway
• S. Jackson St.; W. Milwaukee St. to McKinley St.
• Prospect Ave.; N. Wisconsin St. to Caroline Ave.
• Wheeler St.; S. Main St. to Logan St.

* The Miller Ave. to Oakhill Ave. one-block section will be “reconstructed” under a detour situation with additional information forthcoming at a later date.

Upcoming Alley Reconstruction Work

Alley reconstruction work is expected to take place on the following alleys between approximately September 8, 2014 and September 26, 2014.   The alley will be CLOSED TO TRAFFIC during construction so access to garages will be limited or unavailable.  Contractors working for the City of Janesville will be reconstructing the alleys and providing residents with a more specific timeline of work activities. 

• Alley; W. Court St. / Laurel Ave. / N. Terrace St. / N. Pearl St.
• Alley; Elizabeth St. / Highland Ave. / N. Palm St. / N. Pine St.
• Alley; Elizabeth St. / Highland Ave. / N. Oakhill Ave. / N. Walnut St.
