Mineral Point Ave, from Madison St to Franklin St is scheduled to be closed to through traffic beginning on Wednesday August 20 for 3 weeks due to storm sewer construction. A signed detour will route traffic around the construction zone. Access to the Mercy emergency room entrance driveway at Madison & Mineral Point will be maintained at all times from at least one direction, depending on construction progress. Mercy Health System staff will communicate as needed to all emergency responders about the access restrictions. Local access to the Mercy parking ramp on Mineral Point Ave will also be maintained from one direction or the other. Parking in the construction zone will be restricted for the duration of the closure.

The construction will provide improvements to the City's storm sewer system which is preceding a street reconstruction project planned for next year. This project will affect the West Court Street Bus Route at the Mercy Hospital Bus Shelter. The first Mercy Hospital stop of the route (outbound) will follow the normal route until Franklin & Ravine. The bus will turn left on Ravine and then turn right on Washington. At Washington & Mineral Point the bus will resume the normal route. Riders wishing to be picked up or dropped off at the Mercy Hospital Bus Shelter should go to the intersection of Mineral Point & Washington. The second Mercy Hospital stop of the route (inbound) will not be affected by the construction. For questions, call JTS at 755-3150.
