The 12th Annual Bike Rodeo, organized by the City of Janesville and the Janesville Police Department, is scheduled for Saturday, June 7 at the Wilson Elementary School playground from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. A bike rodeo is a safety event designed to engage and entertain children while demonstrating key safety skills. During this event, participants will have the opportunity to ride through an obstacle course that promotes bike safety (helmets required). This event is free and open to all children and families in Janesville. The event will feature a prize giveaway, free food for participants, free helmets and bike licenses!
New bike donations are welcomed. Around 70 bikes were donated at last year’s Bike Rodeo! Anyone who donates a bike to this event will receive name recognition on WCLO’s “Your Talk Show” with Tim Bremel. Please contact officer Chad Sullivan at 755-3134 or sullivanc@ci.janesville.wi.us for more information.
