Homebuyer's Education Workshop

The City of Janesville Neighborhood and Community Services is partnering with NeighborWorks Blackhawk Region and several local financial institutions to offer a free Homebuyer Education Workshop class on Saturday, June 22 for local residents. The workshop is designed to inform first-time home buyers of the home purchasing process, provide them with the information needed to make a purchase and prepare them for homeownership. The workshop is free and open to anyone interested in learning about the home purchasing process.

The Homebuyers Education Workshop will be held on Saturday, June 22 at the Salvation Army (514 Sutherland Ave.) from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The workshop is coordinated by NeighborWorks® Blackhawk Region, a HUD-certified Housing Counseling agency and co-sponsored by Old National Bank, Associated Bank, Blackhawk Community Credit Union, Blackhawk Bank, the City of Janesville, Inlanta Mortgage, and Johnson Bank.

Pre-registration is required for all classes. Due to limited class space, early pre-registration is encouraged. To register, please contact NeighborWorks® Blackhawk Region at (608) 362-9051 ext. 20, send a text message to (608) 313-7809 or send an email to homebuying@nwbr.org. Please include your name, email and the March 16 class date when signing up.
