Indoor Sports facility feasibility study interview/input sessions

The Janesville Convention and Visitors Bureau and the City of Janesville have commissioned an Indoor Sports Complex Feasibility Study.  The purpose of the study is to assess community need and opportunity for indoor sports and to conduct a comprehensive market and financial analysis to determine the feasibility of constructing and operating an indoor sports complex. The main component of a potential facility would be a one or two sheet ice arena, but given the outcome of the market analysis, may incorporate other indoor sports and recreational components that demonstrate significant demand and financial feasibility. The City has entered into a contract with Conventions, Sports & Leisure International (CSL) to conduct the study.  CSL was founded in 1988 specifically to provide independent and unbiased research in sports, entertainment, hospitality and leisure industries. They have offices in the Chicago, Minneapolis and Dallas metro areas and have experience in studies throughout Wisconsin and the region. Representatives from CSL will be in Janesville for a kick off visit August 29-31. Community input throughout the development of this study will be critical and numerous opportunities for input will be offered.

You are invited and encouraged to attend an in-person interview/input session with representatives from CSL.  This interview session is scheduled for Thursday, August 30th at 5:30PM in room 416 of City Hall located at 18 N. Jackson St.  Your input is valuable to this process.
