The City of Janesville performs street sweeping several times each year. The third cycle of downtown sweeping is planned to begin Thursday, May 24 through Friday, May 25. The work is scheduled to begin early in the morning when traffic and street parking is minimal. On the first day of the cycle, City crews typically sweep downtown parking lots and several main arterial streets. On the second day of the cycle, City crews sweep the remaining main arterial streets.

Street sweeping dates are weather dependent and subject to change. The City of Janesville encourages off-street parking of vehicles during street sweeping events.
