Exercise your right to vote at the next election on April 3, 2018! Early voting by absentee ballot begins on Tuesday, March 15 in the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office at City Hall (18 N. Jackson) and goes through 5 p.m. on Friday, March 30. The Janesville City Clerk-Treasurer’s Office provides a variety of information about elections. The State of Wisconsin manages myvote.wi.gov, a website designed for registered and non-registered Wisconsin voters. My Vote provides registration, sample ballots, and municipal clerk and polling place information. You can now register to vote on the myvote.wi.gov website. In addition, the website provides a section for military and permanent overseas voters to request an absentee ballot and access their absentee ballot online.
Photo identification is now required to vote in person or with an absentee ballot. Please visit bringit.wisconsin.gov to learn more about the photo identification requirements.
Voting for Wards 3 & 4 will be held on the first floor of City Hall on April 3 due to renovations on the fourth floor. The City Attorney’s Office and Human Resources will be closed to the public on Tuesday, April 3.
