Enjoy the wonderful outdoor sights, sounds, tastes and smells with your family and friends on a ride through the park. The Janesville Recreation Division and Friends of Riverside are hosting Wagon Rides in the Park on Thursday, August 24. The wagon is pulled by a tractor on a scenic tour along the Rock River. Learn about the history of Riverside Park on the ride. Before or after the wagon ride, be sure to stop at a crackling campfire to roast a marshmallow for a scrumptious s’more. The wagon ride and s’more cooking should take about 30 minutes. Wagon Rides will board at Riverside Park South Pavilion from 5:30-8:30 p.m. No reservation is necessary. A payment of $3 per person (under age 1 is free) is due when boarding the wagon. There are a limited number of seats and rides available, so it is best to arrive early. Participants can arrive anytime starting at 5:30 p.m., but the last wagon ride will end at 8:30 p.m. Any questions, please contact the Recreation Division at (608) 755-3030.
