The west side Milton Avenue Frontage Road from Lodge Drive to the Hobby Lobby/Slumberland entrance off of Milton Avenue is scheduled to be CLOSED TO THROUGH TRAFFIC from approximately 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday, July 14. 

A private contractor working on the new Panera restaurant located at the former Ground Round site will be installing a new 6” fire protection water service across the frontage road approximately 100’ north of Lodge Drive.  Local access to adjacent business driveways will be maintained (from the north) throughout the closure time period.  The work will also require a southbound right lane closure on Milton Avenue north of Lodge Drive.

This frontage road closure affects the Milton Avenue Janesville Transit System route. Customers looking to board or exit may do so at the intersection of the west side frontage road and the Milton Avenue access point south of Highway 14 (near Buffalo Wild Wings). The bus will then turn south onto Milton Avenue and then turn west onto Lodge to resume its normal route. For questions, call JTS at 755-3150.
