On June 7, naturalist Dave Bendlin and the Friends of Rockport Park will host an evening walk through Rockport Park to look for owls, lightning bugs and glow worms. Dave will lead a night hike, without lights, to view the wonders of nature in the dark. He will call for owls hoping to encourage them to fly overhead. Walkers will get to see features of the natural world that are only visible at night. This event is free and participants should meet at the Rockport Pool parking lot at 9pm. Please contact the Recreation Division with any questions at 755-3030.
