The Rock County Historical Society, working in conjunction with the Janesville Historic Commission and historian Rich Fletcher have announced the 2014 schedule for the very popular Janesville Historic Walking Tours.
Running from June to October, each tour is a peek into the distinct neighborhoods of Janesville. Presented on select Saturdays in each month at 9 a.m., each tour lasts approximately one hour and is FREE to the public. Each tour has its own distinct starting point. No RSVP is required.
All geographic areas of Janesville are represented by the walking tours. From Courthouse Hill to the Look West neighborhood, the stories of each neighborhood; the buildings and people that live in them, make up the fabric of Janesville’s local history.
