The City of Janesville is hosting a public meeting as part of an ongoing downtown parking study. The purpose of this meeting is to share the results of data collection efforts to date and to gather feedback from the public regarding parking issues and needs.
The downtown parking study is an important step in the City’s development of a concept plan to guide the removal of the Parking Plaza, redevelopment of the land areas immediately adjacent to the structure, and the restoration of the river’s edge. As you may be aware, the Parking Plaza over the Rock River is reaching the end of its useful life and will need to be removed sometime between 2015 and 2020.
