Try snowshoes to see if you like them, before buying your own.  Your family will receive about 15 minutes of instruction on how to put them on, take them off, and walk with them.  When you're ready, go hiking on your own through the Robert O. Cook Arboretum/Janesville School's Outdoor Lab.  This program has staggered start times (15 minute intervals) beginning at 9:00AM.  The instructor will contact you with your family's start time.

The City of Janesville's Leisure Services Department is teaming up with the Rock County Parks Department to provide this program.  Pre-registration is required through Leisure Services, in person at the Municipal Building, 18 N. Jackson Street, first floor, 7:30AM-4:30PM.

FEE:  $5.00 per person, $15.00 family maximum
