Start Smart Sports Development Program to Begin March 1
The Start Smart program is a national program offered through the National Alliance on Youth Sports. It is an instructional program that prepares youth ages 3 – 5 for organized sports without the fear of competition. Parents work with their child, the instructor, and other kids in a social setting to learn the basic skills of throwing, catching, kicking and batting. Program goals are to increase individual skill development and assist parent in understanding their child’s interests. Both parents and children should dress in active clothes, ready to play!
The cost of the program is $40. This program will take place on Wednesdays, March 11 – April 22 (no class March 25 due to Spring Break) from 6 – 7 p.m. at Lincoln Elementary School Gym on March 11 and March 18, and at Madison Elementary School Gym on all other dates.
